Here you will find samples of my student work representing Foundation, Graphic Design and Typography, Digital Art, and Animation courses.
Be sure to have your speakers turned on for the timebased work.

Digital Fabrication
These samples represent artwork created through a combination of 3D scanning, 3D modeling, and 3D printing while considering notions of body.

Digital Fabrication
This sample integrated digital vinyl cut graphics to serve as a resistive material for sand blasting on a glass blown vessel to tell a circular narrative.

Digital Fabrication
This work utilized a laser cutter to create a dimensional mandala.

2D Design
Visual Vocabulary
These samples are from an assignment in which students are asked to visually interpret terms like Push, Disrupt, or Fracture using only abstract or geometric forms with cut paper.

2D Design
Semiotics and Color
These samples demonstrate a semiotic image sequence Iconic, Symbolic, Indexical. Additionally those sequences are then done exploring three different color schemes (e.g. analogous, complimentary, monochromatic).

2D Design
Transformation
These samples represent a transformation from geometric form to stylized silhouette. A variation of the assignment yielded wall installations that found each transitional stage growing as the design evolved.

2D Design
Photographic Collage
Students use standard photographic prints to generate a self portrait collage. No digital manipulation is allowed.

Digital Art / Design
Biographical Portrait
Students were asked to compose digital portraits of historical figures, combining photographic, illustrative, and graphical elements.

Digital Art / Design
Impossible Creature
Like a mad scientist, students hybridize creatures or invent their own.

Digital Art / Design
Social Change Poster
These posters focus on presenting social issues in order to raise awareness. It is their first introduction to type and vector based graphics.

Typography 1
Students created original Word / Image exercises based on the design work of Ivan Chermayeff and Tom Geismar.

Typography 1
Poster designs with emphasis on typographic hierarchy and expression.
2D Animation
This course asked students to visually define a binary word set by utilizing 2D animation, video, and sound. End titles however were created using 3D software.

Digital Art / Design
Basic Animation
As part of an introductory level digital media course students created short time-based works with sound.
Augmented Reality
Students created and added Augmented Reality layers to work in conjunction with their print based graphic media.
